Causality Beta Releases

These are bleeding-edge beta releases of Causality. Be aware that beta software is more likely to have bugs than release software. Make sure to make periodic backups of your document.

Communicate with us about issues at support@hollywoodcamerawork.com. Attach your document unless it's top secret, it gives us a 10 times better chance of fixing the issue. We won't read it.

IMPORTANT: All beta testers are REQUIRED to submit all crash reports. If you don't, we'll come and find you :-) !

3.1.5	release	Much Better Clipboard	View 3.1.5 (Release) New Features Paste with formatting from Word / Web / Email, and from Final Draft on Mac. Paste Rich Text from Final Draft on Windows (uses web service). Automatically conform pasted text to screenplay paragraph styles. Feature in Help menu to submit latest log to support, to aid in troubleshooting. Improvements Better whiteboard layout after novel import. Groups are split by structural breaks (Episodes, Acts and Chapters). Structural breaks now appear more intuitively before the first beat in that section.

Special configurable text (default "***") decides where to break into Beats. Uses a web service for part of the document conversion. Import Word HTML. Import Word files offline by exporting them from Word as HTML. Export Word (docx) files. Uses a web service for part of the document conversion. Export Word HTML. Export Word files offline by exporting as HTML and importing in Word. New notification system in bottom right of main window. Improvements Move all server communication to websockets in preparation for collaboration.
3.0.42	release	Translations + Improvements	View 3.0.42 (Release) Improvements Japanese translation by Michael Arias. Keyboard shortcut from Separate Selection. Removed accidental blue outline in standalone windows. Translation files can now be live-loaded by translators. Bug Fixes Dual Dialogue could break on Split Beat and Insert Scene Heading.
