With Actors

What We're Looking For

You're a Director getting ready to direct Actors in a feature film, short, or commercial. With an expert Director or Actor on the show, we pick apart your characters, we work on which angles to try with the Actors, and prepare what to say. Especially with Actors on the show, you'll get instant feedback on whether your directing resonates.

On some shows, we do a Part II, where we continue into an actual rehearsal.

Requirements

• You have a real project that you're soon planning to shoot. We want conversation about real problems with real stakes.
• You'll need to prepare your direction to the best of your ability, working out the characters and conflict. We don't want to start from scratch on the show, we want to continue where you've hit a wall.

If Selected For The Show

• We'll select some scenes as focal points, and will need a release from the owner or licensee of the script (i.e. the writer or the producer) to show those script pages on the show and make them available as a PDF, as well as discuss the script and the characters as a whole.

Go Ahead And Submit!

• We'll only respond if we're considering you for the show. But don't feel bad if you don't hear back. Not being selected is mostly about what makes the right show.
• You will not be added to any email list.
• Any project pitches will be kept confidential, will not be shared with third parties, and are deleted if we pass.
• If pitching a project, you release us from liability, should anyone connected to the show be working on a similar idea. Improbable, but not impossible.
