"I'm a few chapters into the Hot Moves DVD and I must say it's another great title. Great work!"
Jeff Light, Technical Director, Mocap Supervisor, Industrial Light & Magic, Dreamworks Animation
"Hot Moves does a great job at showing how to make simple camera moves seem complex and by using the terms and techniques from the DVD you can really take your projects to another level and make them more cinematic.
The way Hot moves is setup is terrific. While you are watching a shot take place you hear why the shot works and what is making the shot dynamic. You also get a visual example of what the camera is doing and where the rig is setup. This is such a great way to learn and if you
are a beginner or an expert you'll find a lot of value in this DVD.
I can't express enough how the entire Hollywood Camera Work collection has helped my camera work, thought process, and cinematic vision. Thanks!"
Troy Griffin, Layout Supervisor, The Simpsons Ride (Universal Studios), Transformers The Ride (Universal Studios), Looney Toon 3D shorts: Coyote Falls, Fur of Flying, Rabid Rider, The Ant Bully, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
"HOT MOVES is THE most comprehensive way of not only seeing the coolest shots that have been done but understanding HOW they are done. I'd recommend these DVDs to ANY director, anytime. You will learn a lot and most importantly be able to implement it in your work. I know I will."

This is a course you will want to watch again and again. It is incredible value for such a superb course. Very highly recommended.
Microfilmmaker Magazine Review
One of the things that impressed me the most was Mr. Holmes's ability to show us an already great move that many producers and directors would be happy with, and change it slightly to make it even better.
"I love this course. Very good use to create good shots!!! No doubt one the best content out there about this topic. "
Weverton - VFX "Avengers: Endgame" (2019) "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014) "Doctor Strange" (2016)
"Hot Moves is a phenomenal piece of work provided to many artists like me who dont have much resources to learn layout and camera work. It really helped me in my work. I got a better understanding of cinematography and how tiny details can make a shot look so interesting. I must say its a must have for a 3D artist who is learning the art of cinematography."
Nidhi Agarwal - Producer "Breathe" (2018) "Breathe: Into the Shadows" (2020) "The Royal Bengal Tiger"
"I love Hot Moves! I credit this video with elevating my thinking about shot design, and I apply the lessons constantly in my work. In a lifetime of studying filmmaking, this is perhaps the most practical instruction I've encountered.
So many other tutorials are absorbed and quickly forgotten, but the way Hot Moves demonstrates shooting principles embeds itself in your brain. Highly recommended."
Ryan Buckminster Fisk - Editorial Supervisor at Blizzard Entertainment "Overwatch", "Hearthstone" "Diablo"
"Hot Moves' is entertaining, addictive, inspiring, and densely informative. Shamelessly nerdy in creating visual coolness for its own sake, it gives you the tools to dream big, even if your budgets are modest. It's a nice treat after the intensity of the VFX and Master Courses."
Stephanie Morgenstern - Showrunner/Screenwriter/Director "Flashpoint" - CBS - (2008-2012) "X Company" - Sony Television (2015-2017)
"Hot Moves is absolutely the only course I've seen that specifically addresses utilizing camera movement to add massive production value to whatever it is you are shooting. Unlike almost every other camera movement course i've taken, they waste no words and literally utilize every moment of the instruction to teach something of value. I particularly enjoyed the rapid fire teaching of concepts that were based on real, practical scenarios. Look around and I can promise you won't find anything out there like it."
James Winston - Producer/Cinematographer "The Nature of Transcendenal Art" (2009) "Gabe the Cupid Dog" (2012) "Heartland" (1989) "Wyatt Earp's Revenge" (2012)

"Hollywoodcamerawork team are excellent trainers in the area of 2D and 3D cinematography, words cannot express the level of details made soo simple with their high quality video tutorials. With these training material all of which I have purchased so far, my understanding of film making has assisted my efforts, therefore I can walk the walk and talk the talk gaining the respect of others in this field. Thank you Hollyworkcamerawork for an excellent job of training the world."
Julian Clarke, ACP
"Once again Hollywood Camera Work does it again! Thank you for creating a DVD that makes me re-think and plan out better and far more impressive shots. This DVD has many different ways to think out a shot in all sorts of different locations. I have already used two ideas from the dvd for shots on my most recent commercial for Braman Honda.
It is not just the Hot Moves DVD that helps to become a better filmmaker, but it's all of their training DVDs. I go back everyDVD six months and re-watch their blocking & special effects DVDs. I have even created a check-list from ideas I get when watching their training so I will not forget to use them on several of my shots.
I recommend this DVD along with all of their training!"

Dante Betteo, Executive Producer KCSM-TV, College of San Mateo, CA
"Per Holmes has done it again... Hot Moves gives an insightful masterclass on elevating your movie imagination. The most memorable action sequences in all of your favorite big budget movies come down to the shot set ups, the placement of camera and imagination of placing your audience in the firing line. Get the adrenalin rush yourself by learning the craft of HOT MOVES by Per Holmes.

Richard Wheildon
"As usual, a great value for the money. You can tell a lot of thought and work has gone into these presentations and I always learn a lot. These presentaions have great rerun value as well. Thanks for the quality work."
Mike Edmonson
"Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I like the "Hot Moves" DVD course very much. It's easy to understand and very inspiring."
Juergen Roshop
"I think that I learned more about parallax from this single DVD than I did from the Master Course. More correctly stated, it made what I had already learned from the Master Course more understandable and positively built upon that previous basic knowledge.
Having viewed your courses over the past few years, and learning the "science" behind camera work, I find myself consciously dissecting every movie; determining the camera moves or production techniques used for every shot. On one level, it does take away a little from the experience of watching. On another level, I find it very liberating, as it inspires me on how to replicate those effects in my own work. I suppose this is a good thing. :)"
Gaines Johnson
"Hot Moves gives directors and DPs good tools to make shots look stunning if you have a sufficient budget to execute them. Nevertheless, many of the techniques can be applied to very low-budget shots to make them look great. A very nice 1-DVD set that gives you a totally different perspective on camera work than the Master Course."
Leif Paul
"Per Holmes' Hot Moves! demystifies the process of getting those awesome shots and presents the filmmaker with a range of options that will enhance any production."
Jean-Pierre Avoine
"I can highly recommend Hot Moves to anyone in the film industry. Whether you are a professional or a film student, you will definitely benefit from it. The DVD covers all the things you need to know to put that little bit of extra production value into your next project."
Pascal Furst, Director, DOP, Germany
"Hot Moves/The Master Course are brilliant - informative, practical and inspiring."
Andrew O'Connor, UK TV Producer
"This DVD provides an excellent perspective on the effect of camera moves. The narration is short, yet very clear and could even have been omitted, as the exampleclips say it all. This product is an absolute -must have- for filmmakers (live-action and cg), because it gives you an instant deep understanding of which shot will work best for your scene and what you will need to actually shoot it. No explanation needed, you can feel it, while watching the examples.
Thank you very much for this great and unique piece of art.
Sincerely,"
Mike van Rossum, Executive Director, Milkyway Productions
"I've just finished watching your new Hot Moves dvd and I was amazed! I wanted to drop you a note for a special thank you for the great work you did, the time and energy you spent on making such fantastic educational material!"

"Beyond film school in a DVD"
RuraL ChilD
"I own all the HCW titles. The addition of Hot Moves is a very welcome one. Like its predecessors, the content is hands-on and exceptionally presented. Its value far exceeds its cost. Also, I have to say the customer service and support is truly outstanding and exceptional like all of HCW's products. I'm looking forward to future releases."
Mark Willner, Producer, Angel Station Pictures.
"As I'm involved in day to day soap television I'm always looking for "cheap ways" to enhance the production value of what I'm shooting. Hot Moves helps me tremendously to develop great shots on the same budget. There's no substitute for experience (except examples from Hot Moves)."
Georges Terryn
"This latest installment in the ways to work the camera to tell a great story adds an extra dimension to the HCW DVD training series. I own all of the videos produced by Hollywood Camera Works to date. They have yet to disappoint. All the different DVD training discs are equal to taking courses at a film/video school.
The latest one shows several of the "Hot Moves" to make with the camera to give your production that big budget look. Once you have viewed it, you will instantly pick out how famous directors and cinematographers work their magic. But these videos also explain the hows and whyfores of the various techniques so you can build upon them to make the shots in your own style.
This fact is true of the entire series. The first installment, the six DVD Master Course", proceeded at a brisk pace leaving little room to digest the material fully. However, a careful study of the course will definitely lead you to completely understand detailed techniques of video and movie story telling. The 7-DVD Green Screen course is a vital necessity to understanding how to prepare shots for later post-production insertion of visual special effects. Finally the delicious Sundae treat is topped off with whipped cream and cherries with the "Hot Moves" DVD. Keep up the good work HCW, I want more!"
Mike Perry
"Once again you come up with a wealth of important information, presented in a concise and clear language. I believe it's safe to say that many productions during the years would have turned out a lot better, had we all known what Hollywood Camera Work show us today. Brilliant work. We owe you!"
Michel van Steenwijk, Cinematographer/Producer
"This is being very useful for us to plan and execute our own and always wanted in house shorts and productions. It is better to learn from a well organized course than searching long hours for inspiring camera reference material."
Juan Paulo Mardónez B., CEO, Gerente General, Leyenda | VFX
"Hollywood Camera Work does it again with their "Hot Moves", a great follow-up to their Blocking & Staging Master Course. Years of experience condensed into a single disk! Hup, hup!"

Matt Davis, Director/Editor, MDMA.TV
"To me, Hot Moves was an eye-opener. It really explained clearly all those high-end camera moves I always wished I could include in my projects but didn't know how."
Reece Robinson
"The material you provided in Hot Moves has blown me away. I am an Indy filmmaker and cinematographer. While I cannot currently afford to film some of the shots you taught, Hot Moves has given me some ways that I can add production value to my films without breaking the bank.
From this point forward, I watch every film with a new eye and can see just how many of the techniques you illustrated in the video are used with skill in every movie that I have never before noticed. Thanks for such a great lesson in cinematography."
Rod Cole
"In "Hot Moves," Per Holmes shows you the kinds of camera moves that key moments in any film absolutely must have! If you want a tour of some of the richest shots, "Hot Moves" shows you the way!"
Rich Westfall, Apple Certified Trainer
"Regarding the DVD's I've ordered, and Hot Moves, I enjoyed every minute of each DVD. It's like it's own little film school in of itself. I can't tell you how many times I've referred to the DVDs. Hot Moves is just amazing! With the techniques I'm learning from Hot Moves, I can't wait to blow away the minds of my fellow students with the dynamic camera movements/shots displayed in Hot Moves. I feel like I've been given the secrets of the great directors and cinematographers."
Simei Pulu
"Hot Moves is an awesome collections of techniques which are not only inspiring but also takes independent filmmaking to the next level.
We have seen so many cool moves in this course, that we bought a crane to enhance our shots.
At a glance - even if know how a lot about filmmaking, you'll learn something new in this course. It's outstanding and for sure the most interesting source out there.
Thanks to everybody who made this piece possible."
Andy, CEO, Sinthetic Motion

"Hot Moves is a "must buy"... it's Hollywood Camera Work's icing on the cake. Hot Moves is designed to help you break directing barriers and limitations. I highly recommend this tool to anyone who wants to take their skill set to levels only some people dream about. Thank you Hollywood Camera Work, for helping to take the "limits off" as I advance my directing career."
Dario Lake, D Lake Media
"Hot Moves is a sensational and highly informative professional training DVD. The content is practical and to the point, and is packed to the brim with the 'how and why' of the moving camera.
It clearly explains and illustrates techniques that are not only achievable and highly desirable for adding to production values, but also gives serious clout to the art and science of story telling and filmmaking.
Per and team..love your work."
Leigh Atkinson, Imagemakers
"I loved it. Hot Moves has so much jam-packed into the course, that I've watched it five times and still learn from it. I tried a few Hot Moves on a recent shoot and it really added some life to what would have been an everyday shot. Now when I watch an action movie, I often yell out, "Hot Moves" when I see parallax motion or some other technique that was covered. Hot Moves is great!"
John Hofius
"All the stuff one needs to create great shots."
Joachim De Munck, Cinema trailer director, Brussels
"My camerawork has gained a significant boost after watching Hot Moves. I feel much more confident in my cinematography skills, and knowing why certain camera angles cause certain emotions in the audience gives me the knowledge I need to get my vision across."

Scott Elliott, www.dreamchasersthemovie.com
"I stumbled upon Hollywood Camera Work in a flea market a couple years ago... Don't know what the idiot that sold it was thinking, but it changed everything I thought I knew about directing. Awesome!!! Just been waiting for you guys to come out w/ new material."
Bill Houser
"Hot Moves is the kind of thing you wish you had when you were first getting started. Every shot and concept is perfectly animated and explained masterfully. It really gets you thinking outside the box; I immediately got out and applied what I learned to my own cinematography. Whether you are a indie filmaker or a big-screen vet, Hot Moves has something for everybody."
Andy Jarosz
"HOT MOVES is a great resource for self-taught, independent filmmakers, such as myself, who, rather than honing their craft in an expensive film school, are often forced to learn their craft largely by trial and error. HOT MOVES makes it easier to achieve professional looking money shots, by explaining the mechanics, and principles behind them in a clear and concise manner. I can't wait to try out some of the techniques I've learned on my next film project."
Dana Acciavatti, Avati Studios
"I wanted to write you to let you know how much I enjoyed your latest release, "Hot Moves".
I found that one viewing was not enough to absorb all the information and quickly found myself re-watching not one, but all the chapters. I was blown away by the technical research that went in to the DVD. While a lot of the techniques and terminology are part of my everyday working knowledge, there are many ideas and methods that were eye opening and enlightening.
My favorite quote is near the beginning of the course; "Awesome for the sake of awesome". Although that sums up a lot of "Hot Moves" it doesn't do justice to the breadth and depth of material covered. I know when a shot looks good, but I don't always know why. "Hot Moves" digs below the surface to educate the viewer and in doing so uncovers how to achieve great shots that work on various emotional levels and moods.
Topics that I found particularly informative were Grid Theory, parallax and how to capitalize on its use, passing through planes, orthographic moves, stacked shots, sympathetic moves, rolls, and fear of heights, to a simple translation of a technique such as how tracking close to the eye line makes things more intense.
When showing the use of keyframes in Part III of the DVD, there is yet another great line that sums of the spirit of the DVD; "But it's a lot more funky if we take an insane path
to get between the key frames".
"Hot Moves" will not only help make your shots more funky, it will open up the creative mojo for anyone who watches it. There is an abundance of technical as well as creative examples to fill a text book.
I can't say enough positive things about "Hot Moves" and for that matter all the courses offered by Hollywood Camera Work. I am inspired and motivated after watching "Hot Moves" and know it will be something I will come back to again and again to refresh and relearn techniques. Well done!"
Glenn Dreher, Think Again Media
"It doesn't matter what level you are at, Hot Moves will make you better."
Michael Slone (Producer/Director)
"Good Camera moves in 3D are tricky because it is a quite underestimated work. Bad camera moves can destroy a wonderfully created scene.
With Hot Moves i learned so much and and the result of my work has significantly changed the quality of my Animations. The Course is worth every cent."
Olivier Jallard - Filmmaker
"Countless times in my career I've seen poor camera work blamed on equipment, software, or schedule. The next time I hear any of those excuses, I'm buying them Hot Moves. The course proves that with proper planning and a little ingenuity, productions of any budget can look awe inspiring."
Alec Morris - Freelance VFX Artist
"Its normally quite difficult to add cinematic camera moves to your scenes
but its very easy to make your scenes look boring if you have little idea on
how to tell a story with camera moves and edits. Normally the camera move is
the last thing we tend to think about and when we do it tends to be static
and jump from camera to camera without much thought.
Per Homes has again produced another high quality training DVD to help those
of us lacking in ideas with "Hollywood Camera Work - Hot Moves". Though this
DVD really follows on from his other releases, this material can still be
viewed in isolation and still make complete sense. The instruction is
typically very clear and broken down into concise and simple ideas which
flow from one to the next, slowly building up to the more complex towards
the end.
I highly recommend this DVD not only to novices but also more experienced
directors, Per Homes has an extraordinary amount of creativity and
information to share, he truly is a master of the camera."
Jeremy Raven
"A priceless tutorial about some magic rules, explained with clever comments and smart animations. Highly recommended !"

Hans Georg Nenning

Enno Jacob - Commercial director for BMW, Toyota, VW, Mitsubishi, Target
"Hot Moves helped me a lot throughout the years to design visually appealing camera moves for vfx driven shots. The video is excellent at explaining and demystifying the logic behind camera moves.A must watch for every layout and pre-visualisation VFX artist."
Etienne Poulin-St-Laurent - Head of Layout and Camera Tracking at RodeoFX "The Host" (2013) "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014) "Star Trek Beyond" (2016)
"I searched every video on YouTube for camera work trying to get better and learn. They only provided bits and pieces and little tips at best. But Hollywood camera work is the real deal. It gave me everything I needed to know to make great camera work. Hot moves showed me The Secret ingredient that I was missing in all my camera work. It showed me why to do something as well as how to do something. I can now create great moves on my own and even invent new moves based on the techniques that hot moves showed me.
After taking the course I was able to produce this animation which holds the best camera work I've ever done. I'm still learning but it's a far vast improvement from what I was doing before."
Dwayne Russell - Russell Recording Collaborators include Howard Hewett, Ruth Pointer of the Pointer Sisters, Gerald Albright, Paul Jackson Jr., Freddie Washington and Jeff Picaro.
"These series of videos are very informative and I love the break downs of every segment. This is very educational and the purchase was worth it. "
Philippe Chery - Cinematographer/Camera and Electrical "City of Revenants" (2018)
"Hot Moves kicked my cinematography to the next level. Confirmed things about parallax I'd already figured out, plus given me about 30 or so new options. Fantastic value. Shows you things a book can't. Currently using several new cam moves in an upcoming animation I'm working on."
Scott Cadzow - Cadzow Animations - Director/Writer/Animation "Dot's Downfall" (2017) "Home" (2018)
"My university professor gave me your name and he strongly recommended me the Hot Camera Moves course as I am very interested in layout and Previs. Since then, I've become a great admirer of your work.

Anthony Sutcliffe, Award-winning director of Tripswitch and The Razorhead

The awesome stylized techniques I've learned helped my film look like a big budgeted project. People are always amazed to find out that I only had a 15 day shooting schedule! I owe it all to Hollywood Camera Work."

S. Shridhar
"I bought Hot Moves two days before the commercial shoot... I'm so lucky, because I can shoot different way, I changed my blocking design right on the location. But the client seems not arguing at all. In fact they are so happy, because they get more cool angle, they keep smiling when they monitoring every single scene with unusual angle.
So after the production done they asking about my experience. They thought that I took a film school academy, they see me like a man with tons of experiences... They never know that i just learned it a night before the shoot. So for me Hot Moves is just like 'one night academy'."
Irwan Fransiscus, ProgresVideography
"I'm writing you from Israel. "Hot Moves" is a great work, I really enjoyed it and instantly put it to use. I hope you'll be doing more, and I wish you the best luck in your future projects."

"Spov are small London based CG company. Hot Moves has, in a matter of days, improved our understanding of what makes great camera work, work! A number of the tutorials illustrate techniques that we would previously employ as a matter of course, but not quite understanding why! ("because it looks cool" might be a typical reason!)
Hot Moves has given us a clear technical understanding of exactly why certain techniques work in a given situation. Its a revelation! Having some theory on hand to explain our intentions is a massive boost to our workflow, thank you!"
Allen Leitch, Managing Director, Spov Design and Moving Image
"I'm the Hollywood Camera Work for years for teaching purposes. The students like it a lot and Hot Moves is the top of it because of the compressed content."

Robin Kenny
"Hot Moves is one of the most exciting, & informative VFX courses I have used. The Master Course In High-End Blocking & Staging and Visual Effects For Directors shouldn't be missed either."
Brian Buxton, VirtualConcepts
"Hot Moves came in just in time. I had a Music Video that I was using a Jib Arm on and some of the concepts discussed in Hot moves gave me a better perspective of Parallax and how to use it to compose a better shot, thus making a better sequence. I can't wait for the Directing Actors series, I'm sure it's going to again add to the way I work.
What amazes most about the people in HCW is the amount of free resources that they have on their website. All over the web people are using their plates for training in VFX and the resource list for manufacturers of Jibs and Cranes is the most comprehensive one I ever found on the web."
Ramy Rizkallah
"Hot Moves is a great reference set for putting together attention-grabbing sequences. I refer back to it often."
Robert Bryant, HappyCat Films
"This is great. I learned great deal of camera angles and movements by watching and studying this DVD. Thanks."
Andy Nandapala, MBA, Chairman and CEO, Amerlan Productions
"Hot Moves is the missing link. You know how to cover the scene right, but that's not good enough... you need this scene to pop! That's what Hot Moves gave me, an arsenal of techniques and ideas to make ordinary, extraordinary. It's the show-stopper stuff, the top-shelf for very special occasions, and yet it fits right into the concrete foundation of Hollywood Camera Work Master Course. It not only gives you great ideas for pure kick-ass camera moves, it suggest where and why each technique could have the greatest impact. Yet again, HCW has raised the bar. Hot Moves really is Awesome for the sake of Awesome."
Bill Houser, Producer/Director, Martin Gimbley's "Escape" and Confusion Films' "Hidden"
"I purchased the original HCW a good few years back and it has always been a fantastic reference guide. With the introduction of Hot Moves it takes the reference guide to another level. The production quality is excellent and the content invaluable."

"I have spent countless hours cutting out "awesomeness" out of Hollywood films to reverse engineer and figure out what makes it so good. Now somebody made it for you. This DVD just takes all the hard work and delivers HOT MOVES."

"Hot Moves is both inspiring and very educational. Not only has it got my DoP and I discussing a whole new approach to some of the scenes in a feature we are prepping but I also showed a clip or two a group of students I teach and there eyes lit up with excitement and potential for their own projects. They may be big budget ideas but they are still provide a source of imaginative approaches to low budget filmmakers. Great job, as ever."
Chris Thomas, Director and Teacher, Raindance Film Training London
"I've really enjoyed the DVD. I am pleased to say that you have convinced me that a hot move need not always burn a hole in my budget."

"Incorporating even a few shots from this course raises the production value of your project to a whole new level. Amazing insight into the science of some awesome camera moves, clearly illustrated with beautiful animations. If you know the moves you can make any low-budget production look like a multi-million dollar project. I just can't wait to show off some of the moves in my upcoming production."
Vikram Bhandari, Director & Producer, BQvision Media
"It is with little surprise I found this to be a worthy addition to the Master Course. It expands on techniques from it and explains with ease a whole host of new ones to suit the low-budget indie filmmaker & high-budget production alike. No filmmaker should be without this truly indispensable training tool. Per Holmes and his team have scored top marks again."
John Moylan, Winner of Microfilmmaker Magazine/Adobe Spec Trailer contest

Faisal Haidar
"Really enjoyed "Hot Moves". It was a great remedial and advanced camera course
that puts into words what may be intuitive for some. This is really important, expecially
when you need to describe the camerawork to your colleagues. The end section that
describes what doesn't work is a worthy and thoughtful component too.
I'll be watching it again soon and it will be one of the few dvds I keep along with your other series.
Thanks again for all your hard work and the dedication put into your instructional videos."
David Collard, Field View
"I haven't studied a book or a video tutorial that comes even close to Hot Moves: Science of Awesome. It's a must for every 3D director and animator especially the ones coming from the world of 2D animation."
Ala'a Hammash - Animator
"Thanks for creating such an awesome video."
Ronnie Williams
"I really love Hot Moves. I'm about to shoot my first feature film and Hot Moves has been a really great tool for me. Since it's going to be a low budget film, I think the tricks you show will make it feel like it has more production value."
Pablo Olmos
"Hot Moves is a great supplemental DVD that gives you insight into creating dynamic shots. The DVD breaks down the process in a clear and informative way using 3D animation and great narration to make it easy to comprehend the process."
Tuan Ho
"Hot Moves is a great bank of ideas for camera movement. I like referring back to it right before a shoot, and while coming up with a shot list."
Leo Ilagan, Cinematographer
"I found Shot Designer in the App Store, when I was looking for a Storyboard program; then called Per. He not only took my call, but spent time explaining the art of movie making. He's brilliant! This brilliance shows in his products. Per's dedication to his art shows in Shot Designer, but beyond this wonderful Storyboard & Scene Designer is Hot Moves.
Per has boiled down the essence of a good scene into perfect bite size explanations; clear, concise, and effective. Per runs a great company with great products. If you want to make movies, these are great Apps for learning the art & executing the process of movie making."
W. F. Russell, Jr
"A big thanks for all the hard work that you put into making these series. Hot Moves is a perfect companion to the other series."
Donne Palmer
"I got into the world of video production through games and wanted to improve my trailer creating skills. Since I had no experience in cinematography, I asked my friend who is CTO in company that develops Serious Sam franchise and he immediately pointed me towards Hot Moves.
I have been very pleasantly surprised by the lessons, it's quality and ability to approach a student without previous knowledge in cinematography. I am currently contemplating buying the Master Course. "
Milivoj Milani
"The subtittle "The Science of Awesome" says it all, but could also have been subtittled "The Art and Science of Hollywood Eye Candy". Hot Moves not only explains how to preform those stunning and sweeping memorable Hollywood Camera Moves that end up in movie trailers, and various techniques depending on your equipment limitations. Hot Moves works on all levels, whether you have helicopters and giant cranes and Jibs on location, or working handheld.
Hot Moves Also explains the science of why they work, as well as several variations of the move. and what to leave for computer graphics. We are also instructed what not to do, or risk disappointment littering the cutting room floor. A college semester is crammed into short time without fluff, by a true master of the Art.
Well worth the small investment to anyone wishing to make a visual difference in their project, whether its a film, commercial, music video or corporate video. Big budget or small. It's not about equipment, its about technique You got to get it. It's just that Good. Thanks, Per Holmes! Lots of inspiration and Technique."
Steven Gotts, CreatingImages
